Hailing from the Houston neighborhood of Alief, Aaron May has enjoyed an unlikely DIY path to success. Encouraged by positive feedback on Reddit for his debut video, “Ride,” then 17 year old Aaron May wrote, recorded, and produced much of his now classic debut CHASE while still a junior in high school for a few hundred dollars. Self-released in February of 2019, CHASE’s timeless energy, led by now platinum certified single “Let Go,” quickly earned him meaningful support from Spotify, Apple Music, Complex Magazine, and more, and an avalanche of label interest ensued. Fiercely independent, the young artist opted for the road less traveled and continued as an independent artist, self-releasing a string of hit singles, EPs and collaborations. Five years and 750 million streams later, Aaron is still fully independent, owns his masters, publishing, and self-funds his marketing efforts, often producing and directing his own videos, as well as for many of the artists on his Houston-centric label, MOVEINTHEAM. Aaron is currently putting the final touches on his highly anticipated new project due this Spring.
