"Into The Blue" stands as the clearest expression of Aaron Frazer's artistic identity. It's a bold amalgamation of soul, psychedelia, spaghetti western, disco, gospel, and hip-hop, showcasing Frazer's diverse musical talents. While maintaining his distinctive falsetto and classic songwriting style, Frazer infuses the album with a contemporary hip-hop sensibility, pushing boundaries and crafting something entirely fresh.

The album opener, "Thinking of You," is a soulful reflection inspired by Harlem trio Black Ivory, layered over strings, with Frazer's vocals nostalgically crooning in his signature high register. Tracks like "Time Will Tell" delve into themes of heartbreak and the complexities of love, reflecting Frazer's personal journey of moving from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and grappling with grief and loneliness.

Despite being born out of heartache, "Into The Blue" also celebrates love and the excitement of new beginnings, encapsulating the multifaceted nature of relationships. The title track itself serves as a haunting anthem of resolve, blending cinematic strings with gritty breakbeats as Frazer ventures into the unknown.

Throughout the album, Frazer's musical prowess shines, as he not only wrote every track but also played multiple live instruments. Collaborating with Grammy-winner Alex Goose as co-producer brought a fresh perspective, incorporating unexpected samples from sources like 90s R&B group Hi-Five, adding depth and texture to the sound.

Frazer's deep-rooted inspiration from hip-hop, cultivated since his childhood in Baltimore, is evident in his eclectic musical fusion. His journey from studying classic rock and hip-hop to discovering his own sound underscores his evolution as an artist.

Having previously released his debut solo album, "Introducing..." with Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach, Frazer expresses excitement about defying artistic expectations with "Into The Blue," embracing fearless experimentation and blurring genre boundaries.

Despite its origins in heartbreak, Frazer hopes the album leaves listeners with a sense of optimism. He acknowledges the vulnerability of performing such intimate material on stage but sees it as an essential part of his growth as an artist.
