Ambrin has performed all over California and Maui and has had the pleasure of opening for iconic bands such as Nappy Roots, The Wailers, Martin Luther, and Anuhea. After gaining popularity as a contestant on American Idol, Ambrin moved to Maui to record her first hip-hop project “Lucid Dreamer”, released in 2018. “With R&B and jazz undertones, Ambrin spins lyrical narratives that are romantic, vulnerable, and insightful.” - Terry Roland, The Journal of Roots Music. Originally from a small town in Smiths, Alabama known for its dirt roads and single wide trailers Damion Square spent the majority of his teenage years moving all around the globe due to his parents being in the military. It was the consistent moving and everything else that being a part of a military family entailed that turned D.square to writing. At first, it started with poetry. Never shy and always confident, he performed at any and every middle school and high school poetry event/talent show that he could find. However, he didn’t start perfecting his craft and taking music serious until college. In addition to his music career, D.square is also a dedicated promoter, community organizer, founder of Decolonized Mindz Productions, and uses his platform to raise awareness and support for important social issues such as mental wellness, racism, and economic inequality to say the least!

Growing up, D.square was heavily influenced by DMX, Lauryn Hill, 2pac, Nas, and Outkast which is evident in his unique style and flow. In 2018, he released his debut mixtape, N.I.G.G.A Spirituals Vol. 1, which quickly gained a loyal following and caught the attention of keen Hip-Hop heads across the Bay Area.
Since then, D.square has released several successful projects, including Strugg Life EP, The Main Objective (Single), iMight (Single), Yolo Funds (Single), and his upcoming project Shadow Work EP, which has already garnered lots of streams from the few singles that have been released, landing him on stages across the North Bay. He has worked with top artists in the Bay Area including Mistah Fab, Nef the Pharaoh, Stunnaman02, and has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Rap game.

With his versatility, unique sound, and socially conscious message, D.square is quickly becoming one of the most promising and influential artists in the Bay Area and an inspiring and
dedicated leader working to push Hip-Hop forward.
