Event Details

Hey everyone, this is never a fun thing to announce and is always our last option. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to cancel our show in Wichita, KS tomorrow 3/6. One of us came down with a gnarly stomach virus yesterday, and there’s no way to do the show while keeping everyone healthy and not jeopardizing the rest of our Colorado run. All tickets for Wichita will be refunded through the site of original purchase. All the other shows beginning with Colorado Springs this Friday 3/8 are moving forward as planned! We apologize for the inconvenience, and we promise to make it up to the Wichita folks! ❤️

BOY NAMED BANJO

In the decade since their stripped-down 2012 debut, The Tanglewood Sessions, brought them to Bonnaroo, Boy Named Banjo have takenNashville and beyond by storm with a series of critically acclaimed, genre-bending releases that have earned performances everywhere from the Ryman to the Grand Ole Opry alongside dates supporting the likes of Kip Moore, HankWilliams, Jr., Old Crow Medicine Show, and the Cadillac Three. Dusk, the five-piece’s new major label debut, marks their most ambitious release yet, exploring the full sonic and emotional spectrum of the band’s rich, eclectic sound, from late-night, feel-good, fall-in-love party anthems to stripped-down, introspective meditations on loneliness, loss, and letting go.

“Our band has so many different sides and personalities to it,” says banjoist Barton Davies. “One minute we might be singing bluegrass harmonies around a condenser mic, and the next we’ve got these big, distorted guitars and pounding, rock and roll drums. This album feels like the first time we’ve been able to capture it all at once.”

The result is a masterfully crafted, larger-than-life reintroduction to a group that continues to grow by leaps and bounds with every release, an exhilarating, emotional whirlwind that blurs the lines betweenMusic Row and Laurel Canyon with lush harmonies and bold, cinematic arrangements.
