Evie Sands is a bone-fide legend in her own time. As a vocalist, songwriter, producer, and nimble instrumentalist, her musical timeline has been consistently evolving since she first started out as a young teen, continuing to release records like her latest, stylistically-fluid album of 12 originals - "Get Out of Your Own Way" (MOJO and Uncut ☆☆☆☆) - classic Rock, Pop and Soul that sticks-to-the-synapses, tickling the ears and seizing your lifeblood like life depends on it. This showcase at The Mint will be its live debut (which pandemic sidetracked).

Evie recorded several original-version fabled singles for Blue Cat and Cameo that showcased her yearning blue-eyed soul voice (Take Me For A Little While, I Can't Let Go, Picture Me Gone, Billy Sunshine, Angel of The Morning) and secured her Northern Soul reputation before breaking through with Anyway That You Want Me, I Love Makin’ Love To You, You Brought The Woman Out of Me. Evie transitioned from ingenue to realize the role of singer/songwriter and that ultra-rare super-heroine - female producer. Sands' songwriting gifts have been recognized not only by new generations of fans, but by a wide array of fellow artists with her songs being covered by Dusty Springfield, Gladys Knight, Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Tom Jones, Gregg Allman and Cher, Missy Elliott, Jazmine Sullivan, Beth Orton, Beck and xx others.

Evie is coveted as a musician's musician and multi-faceted survivor. Unique as a songwriter, arranger and instrumentalist, her calling card has always been her signature vocals, imbuing her indelible melodies with emotive surrender and innate sensuality.
