Mosswood Meltdown 2024

Oakland’s Mosswood Meltdown is returning July 6th and July 7th, 2024 to Mosswood Park. Today, the festival shares its daily lineups and announces the return of fan favorites The Mummies. The 2024 edition of Mosswood Meltdown features a rare set from freaky deaky The B-52s; beloved locals Hunx and his Punx; New Orleans icon Big Freedia; Redd Kross; Pure Hell playing their first west coast show in over three decades; Gibby Haynes and the Paul Green Rock Academy performing songs by the Butthole Surfers; skate punk Cher Strauberry’s new project WIFEY; Bush Tetras and more. And it wouldn’t be a Mosswood Meltdown weekend without John Waters, the festival’s iconic and mischievous host. This year, Peaches Christ will host the festival’s first-ever drag contest, for which Waters will be one of the judges. (21+) Pre-Parties and afterparties will be at Thee Stork Club, Eli’s Mile High and the Elbo Room and will feature Davila 666, Useless Eaters, BAUS, Sheastie Boys, Diesel Dudes and more! Mosswood Meltdown will also be helping collect donations for Oakland’s Homeless Action Center, who provide aid and help Oakland’s unhoused.
