Pauli The PSM

Pauli Lovejoy is a drummer, composer, producer, musical & creative director, model and DJ. Born in London to Jamaican parents with Senegalese heritage, Pauli is recognized as one of “The World’s Best Drummers” by The Guardian and Wired.

Pauli has been credited as musical director for Jamie xx, fka Twigs and Maggie Rogers as well as touring drummer with Damon Albarn, Bobby Womack, Robyn, and Kelsey Lu. He is the current musical director and percussionist for Harry Styles’ LOVE ON TOUR. His composition credits include YouTube Originals’ Black Renaissance featuring Michelle and Barack Obama, Ben Sherman SS23 campaign, Spotify’s Stream On Event, and Roku’s Centerpiece featuring Maurice Harris and Rashida Jones.

Under the moniker Pauli The PSM, he released his debut EP in 2016, The Idea of Tomorrow, featuring Idris Elba, solidifying the launch of his solo musical journey. With two EPs to follow including praise from FADER, NOWNESS, The Line of Best fit and more, Pauli The PSM continues to release new music and collaborate with artists. Past recording credits include Alicia Keys, Sampha and Kindness. 

 In January 2022, he released the experimental ambient album, OFFAIR: The Power of your Subconscious Mind Vol 1: SPACE - inspired by the cosmos and Afrofuturism. Designed to align with the sonic landscape of (pre-Babylonian) zodiac signs, the record features collaborations with veteran NASA astronauts Ron Garan and Jean-Francois Clervoy, and artists Liz Vice, Tawiah, Anne Chmelewsky, fulfilling a life-long passion for space and youth STEM programs. Pauli The PSM’s track, “Buss Case”, was dubbed the first ever music video shot in space and premiered at NASA Kennedy Space Center, birthing an ongoing relationship between his label and youth outreach program, The People’s Space Program, and the US Space Administration. 

 Through guided meditations and immersive listening experiences, Pauli aims to spread mindfulness, positivity, and self-care - celebrations of the album that expand into everyday life. In partnership with Mass Appeal, he recently launched Flybrations.radio, a weekly radio show on Amazon’s AMP showcasing his favourite vibes and creating a space for listeners to be heard and feel seen. Each week, Pauli welcomes you into his world as a touring musician to discover new music and engage in conversation about community, reflection and healing.
